Check out the latest news in the Adequately Average world...
Here at Adequately Average, we do quite a lot of work in some rather weird and wonderful venues. From royal palaces to pub gardens, we really do get to see some unique places.

Back in May, we assisted with the Michael Jackson Lifetime Collection exhibition which was installed in Tokyo’s aptly named Tokyo Tower.

Next week, we will once again be flying out to Japan to move the exhibiton to Osaka’s Sky Building. Not only does it feature two 40-story towers connected by horizontal elevators, but you can probably see from the photo below that this really is a fantastic building and we are certainly excited about heading out there.

“One Young World is the premier global forum for young people of leadership calibre. It manifests the reality of common humanity and the shared existence of all the peoples in one world. Its purpose is to connect and bring together the youngest and brightest and to ensure that their concerns, opinions and solutions are heard and taken into account by those in power.”
This is what One Young World is all about; young people having an opinion on current affairs and this was there chance to bring those opinions out into the open. Over 800 delegates were invited to the UK from 34 countries to share in what was the first ever global summit for young people.
In February 2010, One Young World and White Light teamed up to deliver a fantastic Opening Ceremony in London’s Old Billingsgate Fish Market. White Light, the UK’s premier lighting supply company, brought in Adequately Average to provide Project Management and Lighting Design for this event.
Battling with sub-zero temperatures and the occasional flurry of snow outside, the whole Riverside end of Billingsgate was illuminated to not only welcome the delegates from their boats to inside but to also provide adequate cover for TV news crews and in-house video.
Once inside, delegates were greeted with a fantastic 14m wide, three-tiered stage lit with over sixty conventional ETC Source 4 profiles, six Clay Paky Alpha Wash 1200′s and ETC Source Pars.
Covering the 2000 strong audience, Lighting Designer Steve Richardson opted for more ETC Source Pars providing general illumination, and Vari-lite VL2000 profiles for gentle kinetic pattern work and stings for the various presenters and guests.

Adequately Average are proud to announce that their new website has launched.
Following a busy beginning to the year, we decided we needed a brand new and snazzy website to firmly stamp out our territory on the World Wide Web.
Using the latest in internet techniques, including jQuery andCSS3, our new web portal will provide regular updates on ongoing projects, blog posts and snippets of digital media both past and present events, gigs and projects.
Over the next few weeks, using our blog, we will go into more detail on exactly how the site is made and how we got to where we are with it.
