Even though Steve and I began working together recently, it feels as though it has been a long time association.
He is one the minority of people in this business who really understand that being excellent at his job – which he is – is not the only thing that makes him valuable on a project. It’s his attitude, self-motivation, and sense of humor at the end of a long day that really makes Steve someone I want to work with whenever possible.

Adequately Average were approached to provide both Lighting Design and Project Management services to this year’s One Young World Opening Ceremonies in London’s prestigious riverside venue; Old Billingsgate.
As part of this event, Corinne Bailey Rae brought the evening to an end with a 30 minute set. Adequately Average liaised with the incoming Lighting Designer, Niall Hannell, to make sure his thoughts and ideas were easily realised on the day – whilst using the existing, Opening Ceremony lighting rig designed by Lighting Designer, Steve Richardson.
